DescriptionIf memory serves, the story goes that this page surfaced in a garage sale somewhere, was purchased in an offhand way, and wasn't identified as a page with any particular pedigree until the last decade or so.Bob Hall was tasked with producing some prelim art for Bill Mantlo, to be used as a visual aid in a pitch meeting for Jim Shooter and Marvel. Bob produced two pages of art, but one way or another the book was assigned to Michael Golden. An article was published in Comics Journal No. 40 (1978) which covered the origins of the title, and featured art from this page. The article is included in secondary images here. The other prelim piece Bob Hall did for MICRONAUTS also survived, and resides in M.K.'s collection, SEEN HERE. Social/Sharing |
