It's old school sci-fi illustration. It reminds you of Wally Wood from the EC days. Austin's composition for line and shadow is very dramatic. It shows a great deal of control and effort. If that's not enough reason to buy this, then maybe it was because the ship is going farther away and getting smaller and smaller.
