This is really cool. Firstly, Tokyo is amazing and I'm dying to go back; hope you had a good time! I was recently looking into Dragon Ball manga OA but found nothing. I'm very curious how the manga OA market operates, and what sort of interest it has in Japan. I'm usually able to track things down with success, so the almost complete lack of information surrounding the plethora of Dragon Ball artwork produced was a surprise! Anyhow, congrats on the Tokyo pickups -- cool stuff!

I have been told that is looked at as a loss of face to sell art as it means you were not good enough to make a living on the published work alone. I am not sure how true that is. Most of the art exists but is owned by studios who don't sell art so only rare pages get out. Some are gifts, some are reworked pages or pages that may have been kept by assistants. There are a handful of pages out there from most series but they are pretty rare and when they come up at auction, they sell for quite high prices.
