Description

There was originally a sword in this painting, but Phil painted over it when he got the piece back from the publisher. He does that a lot. Changes paintings after they are printed. Which is somewhat problematic I suppose. But I have to say, I like this one a lot better without that sword in there.

He actually asked me if I preferred the sword in or out so out it went! I agree, it looks better without. What a wonderful piece, John. I still miss it
