I feel like I haven't uploaded any nice Cockrum art for a while -- so here goes.

This is the first page of the Star Trek: The Motion Picture movie adaption, which was first printed in Marvel Super Special #15 (1979) and then reprinted shortly thereafter in Star Trek #1 (1980). The movie wasn't that great, but I think the splash page is.

Dave Cockrum did some nice work on this series, although I don't think Klaus Janson (who I love) was the best match for him. On an amusing note, check out the misspelling at the top of the page.

Best "Star Treck" issue ever! Klaus' inking style may not have been ideal for Dave, but the two of them created a cool splash here.

Beautiful page, I liked the first movie alot. I saw it in Dec of 79 when it first hit the theater screens. Great team on the first three issues too. Congrads!
