DescriptionA fabulous little curiosity from the first issue of MICRONAUTS. For years, I'd expected this page to be lost, or, at best, an assembly of stat thumbnails pasted on a page; but, lo and behold! It's its own piece after all.For issue #1, this page is a placeholder for the upcoming 'MICRO-MAILS' letters page, but I suppose this could also be the equivalent to the (later) traditional 'Micronauts Roll Call' which generally was a part of every Title Page while the property was with Marvel. Obviously, the character copy had yet to have been written at this stage, and Golden left appropriate space for its addition, as well as room for a page title. Note the slight shift of orientation of two of the characters, so a little stat work was done for the final version. A further curiosity is what lives on the back of the page. Elsewhere on the Web one can find examples of House Ads for the launch of MICRONAUTS, each with small original art by Golden. Most of these ads and accompanying art are lost or buried deep in collections; here we see Golden doodling a few ideas for three more. Note Bug riding an ant or spider. It would be great if you would just Give Me this "little filler" piece. Outstanding, possibly my Fave Golden Micronauts piece!
