Description

After seeing "Beyond The Skull Island's Mouth", the huge illustration inspired by "Paperino e l'Isola del Tesoro", I felt it was really a pity we didn't get to see the characters well enough due to their very small size for the sake of composition.

Besides, the big illustration left us with a big question mark, who was gonna win the battle?

Here's an illustration that answers that question and gives us a closer look to Scrooge and a Beagle Boy pirate: it looks like the octopus has been defeated (and cooked, love this, in particular, considering we're living in times where politically correct is taking the fun out of almost everything) and Scrooge reached Skull Island and the treasure.

What a sight!

Amazingly detailed, beautifully inked, fantastic use of light and shadows and the Beagle Boy that is a clear homage to Bottaro's rendition of the characters, more bulky and menacing than what we're used now in the Italian Disney stories.

(oftentimes I asked myself why this Beagle Boys design, much closer to Barks', has been completely abandoned in Italy)

This makes a splendid pair with the Skull Island's Mouth illustration! I agree with you about the Beagle Boys... And I just love that pirate Scrooge :)
