Cover dated June 2002. This page checked a number of boxes for me when I got it a few years back.

I thought that Marvel�s Ultimate books were a breath of fresh air when they first arrived on the scene, and Ultimate Marvel Team-Up was my favorite of those early Ultimate books thanks to the great variety of artists who worked on it.

I had liked Rick Mays� art when I first saw it in the Kabuki Agents: Scarab series, and I thought he did a great job on the Spidey/Shang-Chi team-up in the last two issues of Ultimate Marvel Team-Up. This is a favorite page of mine.

Ultimate comics' fresh take was welcomed for fans who wanted more Shang-Chi.

GREAT page! I am right with you in regards to loving Ultimate Marvel Team-Up; a killer roster of artists and fresh takes on old established favorite characters. Many of the characters in UMTU were showing up for the first time in the Ultimate MU, so there was always a feeling of discovery and excitement to the stories. Beautiful page - love the yin/yang symmetry of the whole thing - and Spider-Man in a martial arts setting always throws the right kinds of sparks (sort of like Spidey guesting in a Doctor Strange story). Very, VERY wonderful example! Congrats!
