Incredible page! It's just so bold. The wild lettering accentuates how crowded Grundy appears in the page, barely capable of being contained within the borders. Fantastic design, wonderfully executed.

Great Sal storytelling, paired with crisp, clever inks from Palmer. Goofy is right, but the sequence really works and draws the reader in.

The King! A great sequence. The joy on Johnny's face is contrasted brilliantly with the strain on Ben's. Does nobody ever learn not to try to break the Surfer's board? Fabulous.

A nice page in the story of Korvac. The pairing of Sal and Klaus was always a joy, and this page is really dynamic.

The King! Yes, panel three is a delight, and gave Kirby plenty of space to let his imagination run wild. Great creativity and lovely, polished inks. Nice page.

The King! The four panel layouts that Kirby was so fond of at that time really give him the space to produce truly epic vignettes. The grandeur and pomp of Asgard is really on display here. Everett's polished inks add to the joy of this fabulous page.

The King! Yes, the first and last panels are incredible. Placing Klaw in shadow in the second panel, and then crowding the figures into the third, conveys a sense of the menace of the nefarious villain.

The King! Wow, what an incredible page from the early days of Marvel!  Kirby masterfully related the story through depicting the most menacing eyes in comic book history. Magnificent!

The King! 'Wonder' is right. His love of archaeology and ancient civilisations really comes  out. There is an epic scale to this page. Congrats!

Wow, major congrats Kirk, you deserve it. That really is a stunning cover. It brings to me back how excited I was to pick up that comic at the time, while on a seaside holiday. I can practically smell the sea. The combination of Kane and Romita is superb, as you say. It really is dynamic, and sums up everything Marvel was about in the '70s. Fabulous!

Nice page. It was great to see Gentleman Jim return to ink Sal on the Defenders. It was a typically odd storyline, befitting the title, and the spectacle of the superheroes arguing with a member of the public was a delight.

Nice recreation! Rubinstein captures a lot of Palmer's linework, particularly the figure in the foreground. That's a lovely piece to own.

That was a superb issue. Sal's pencils often suited Filipino inks, like with Steve Gan in Skull the Slayer. The raw savagery of the Hulk really comes across, and the explosive third panel is exceptional. Fabulous page.

Wild action from Andru. The fourth panel is fantastic, but Andru's depiction of Spider-Man's super flexible body, heading feet-first through the window, is a real treat. So dynamic. Nice page!

Stunning Sutton artwork! The fluid shadows in the opening panel are fabulous, but the gruesome fight scene in the centre of the page steals the show. It looks like Morbius' right foot is punching right through the assailant's body. Lovely horror page by a real master.
