Mike, wow, I just stumbled unto this! An incredible Bronze Age masterpiece! At first, I thought it was a recreation but it quickly dawned on me that my eyes were feasting on a Grail cover! I was almost blinded by the realization that this cover actually existed! What can I say, you are a blessed man. Obviously, you must have done something very right in your life. Ps please give me a holler if you ever decide to let someone else give it a new good home!

Hans, a stellar Jack Kirby masterpiece! One of the greatest covers on CAF, by far! Captain America took over as the leader of the mighty Avengers in this issue and proved to be the most worthy leader of all that came before him and after him!; Cap, with his inner strength, perseverance, and endless determination trumped brute force any day of the week!

Wow, I consigned this cover to Heritage back in 2006; It was the only time i gave them art to auction; they suckered me to not put reserves on any of my art and this cover and almost everything else I gave them sold for a song! Paul, you have chosen one of the best Spider-Man covers from my collection! It is also one of Sal Buscema’s greatest Spidey covers from his multi-year glorious run on Spectacular Spider-Man! Your eye for great art is unquestionable; I know that you will cherish it as I did for so many years! You have a stellar collection and I’m glad it went to a great home!

Nicolaj, hi, the guy is the panel with the cigarette is indeed Jim Corrigan aka the Spectre. Sorry to confuse you. For some reason i thought Commissioner Gordon, who Jim Corrigan is speaking to, was Earl Crawford; it is not; the glasses fooled me; so you were correct in your original description of the Spectre! Im sorry, I goofed and I confused you in the process.

Nicolaj, a superb Jim Aparo panel page! Jim Aparo was the greatest Batman artist of the 1970s! The third panel on the top right stunned me when I saw it. It is a smaller version to a panel from Adventure Comics #435, a Spectre story, from page #7, which I own. The character in both pages is of the reporter named Earl Crawford who interacts with Jim Corrigan aka the Spectre, introduced by Michael Fleisher, the writer; Your page from BB 116 comic is dated Dec 1974/Jan 1975 and Adventure #435 was dated Sept/Oct 1974, only a few months earlier. So apparently Aparo used the same figure in the same pose twice! Incredible, indeed!

Ivan, an incredible Bronze Age splash! Cap & Sharon! The Falcon, who will play an integral role in the Cap 2 movie! and Nick Fury! Pure Marvel magic! Bronze Age splashes very often told a whole story on one page, just like this one; and very often outshined even their covers! ps: If you think there is not enough action on this splash, let me know when or if you ever get tired of it; I'm here!

Troy, this was one of my favorite modern covers, a great Gambit cover! We all hope he will get his own movie from Marvel soon! Gambit's cameo presence in the first Wolverine movie was great! Sean Parson's lush inks are superb over Paquette's great pencils!

Paul, a superb Gil Kane masterpiece! I think Dan Adkins was Gil Kane's best inker! I can't wait to see a Dr Strange movie! When you add Dormammu to the cover, then you have a Bronze Age classic!

Alfredo, a superb Spider-Man cover, indeed! Alex Saviuk drew Spider-Man for about seven years for Marvel, and he still draws the Spider-Man comic strip; he is a living legend and one of the nicest artists in the hobby! Im glad this cover went to a nice home!

Gene, as the new custodian of this Bronze Age masterpiece, I know that you will enjoy it and cherish it as much as I did for quite some time; I started in this hobby back in 2002, and most of the Bronze Age covers I bought were from a time when I read them off the stand. Ironically, I never read TOD back then but I always appreciated this classic cover in my collection.

Dimitri, a superb Daredevil splash, with the word balloons and the indicia! Sadly, a few years later, word balloons disappeared and comic art became sterile and listless for the most part (IMO); congrats! This is a great, all-action splash with the small sequential panels leading into the awesome large panel of DD crushing the bad guy's jaw! "Kraak!"
