beautiful - not just a fantastic image of the surfer; it is all this and more...this piece could singularly be looked at as an uncompromising image of god creating man, as well. plus all of the lyrical beauty and simplicity of jay at his best! you, sir, are VERY lucky to have this in your collection!! congratulations!!!

This is the absolute best "Birth of the Silver Surfer" page ever. Could look at it for hours. If you ever wanna sell, let me know ;-)

Love the huge Kirby hands on this! Every brushstroke, in fact! Very powerful and lyrical image.

Very cool piece! Muth's run on the Silver Surfer was spectacular and didn't get the attention it deserved. This is easily one of the best images from the run.

I somehow have missed seeing this page up until now. It really is exceptional art. The imagery is very powerful.

Remarkable - the same scene, the same general pose, but so artistically different

Kept forgetting to comment on this one. Love it! It transcends not just comic art but raw folklore. Congrats!

Fabulous! I still find it hard to believe that a fine artist like Muth dabbled with mainstream superheroes for a time.

Oof!  Muth was channeling the Power Cosmic himself on this one!  A spectacular powerhouse of composition and balance, that applies to the "feel" of the piece as well as the amazing artistry...  The Surfer gives this a quiet and calm at the heart of a release of energy that should herald the birth of a star... but brings forth another type of herald altogether!  Those incredibly large and shadowed hands make the viewer ponder divinity, while the Surfer himself represents Grace and responsibility.  As I said, OOF.  Superb piece, Miki!  Sincere congrats!
