DescriptionBought this back in 1993. They are rare enough that I have never seen another and thus I am not sure it is authentic. Ditko did this card for Star Wars Galaxy (Topps) and other artists in the series signed a few cards as limited cards, so it is at least possible.According to a trading card site "The Cardboard Connection": "Redemption cards were randomly inserted in packs good for a random artist autograph. The cards were signed base cards with no other distinguishing marks. Because it's so easy to get similar autographs at conventions or through the mail, these signed cards don't carry a lot of value. Today, the redemption cards are much more desired by collectors." Social/Sharing |

Wow? That's interesting. Did you get the redemption card from a pack, or it was purchased with the signed piece?? Go type in "Ditko letter" on CAF. Looks pretty legit to my untrained eye. Great stuff, friend!

Great stuff, friend!I purchased it from a trading card dealer. I was a big user of USENET and he published an ad where this and some other autographed cards were available. At the time I was looking for everything Ditko and it was affordable. I only found an image of the redemption card much later which I kept around for reference. I only have doubts about authenticity because when I shared it with Blake Bell (the only Ditko expert I knew) he was not very encouraging. So it lives in a drawer and I like to think it is real. It is great to see those letters that Ditko wrote to you. Thanks for writing.
