Description

David Finch's 2002 contribution to my themed sketchbook is something of a mystery. I suppose it could be the Blob from the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants/Freedom Force (from Marvel's X-Men comics), but I'm not entirely sure. Nevertheless, I remain pleased with it, as it's one of the more unusual sketches in the book. Furthermore, it's such a divergent approach from Finch's usual style.

The tubby guy sitting on a smaller figure is a classic comedy cartoon trope. Furthermore, the larger figure being positioned facing away from the viewer is a slightly unusual perspective that somehow makes the scene a little more interesting as well.
