Description

It was fantastic to meet Dave McKean at Lake Como Comic Art Festival in 2019... no chances of a commission (since I could attend only on Sunday and most of the artists got their list closed on Saturday), but he had some beautiful pieces available... I immediately fell in love this one, titled "Lost in Transformation"!

Dave signed it and added the following on the back:
Illustration for a short story.

Yeah I can see this accompanying literary prose in a sweeping poem or epic. He's just that good here.

I like the way McKean gave the figure a statuesque aspect. Great drawing!
