DescriptionThis new hybrid is a tribute to the British director Ken Russell and the American cartoonist Vic Lockman.The 1980 Russell movie is about a psycho-physiologist who experiments with drugs and a sensory-deprivation tank and has visions he believes are genetic memories. In Alberto's illustration, we see Emil Eagle (character co-created by Lockman) in the sensory-deprivation tank. The image is stunning, and the black enamel paint creates an amazing visual effect. The background effects are really amazing, in the comics field they remind me of some works by the great Alberto Breccia!
