Description

Having assembled the ‘Titans Three’, Namor leads a mission to ascertain the safety of an experimental United Nations weather device. Having then been refused access to it by the military leading charged with protecting the device, they decide to use force to secure the island. Meanwhile the U.N. ask the Avengers to confront the Titans, and Namor instructs the Silver Surfer and the Hulk to resist the urge to fight and to negotiate instead. Yes, that’s right. He asks the Hulk not to start a fight with the Avengers. That instruction doesn’t even last as long as it took to say it, and the Hulk starts laying into Thor, and then Iron Man takes on the Silver Surfer (top panel), leaving Goliath with the Sub-Mariner – and out of his depth, it seems. The Imperious King of Atlantis nearly drowns poor Clint Barton. Action in every panel here, with a depiction by the brilliant team of Sal and Jim that puts the reader right in the middle of that action.
