DescriptionIn this awesome title splash by the great artistic team of Mark Bagley and Larry Mahlstedt, we are first introduced to the assassin-for-hire known as Delilah, who is posing as a singer, putting on a song for mobster Don Vito Torrancio for his birthday. Circling behind the mobster, she stabs him through the neck with her microphone, killing him instantly. When the other members of his mob try to put her down, Delilah easily slaughters them. She meets with her employer who is waiting for her in the back of a limo outside. He congratulates her for a job well done by handing her a rose and a picture of her next target. She sounds nice, doesn't she. It's a new beautiful and deadly antagonist to be faced by everyone's favorite web slinger. And it's the first post of my latest "Ladies Week" series of CAF posts. More to come! Social/Sharing |

She's a babe no matter how evil she is! A bad girl by Bagley to fire up the senses!

At break of day when that man drove away, I was waiting
I crossed the street to her house and she opened the door
She stood there laughing
I felt the knife in my hand and she laughed no more
My, my, my, Delilah
Why, why, why, Delilah
So before they come to break down the door
Forgive me Delilah, I just couldn't take anymore
She stood there laughing
I felt the knife in my hand and she laughed no more

Hah! Awesome! Yes, I must admit that if any comment with lyrics deserved a thumbs up for "Perfect Marriage of Art and Song" , it's that one. Excuse me a moment while I pat myself on the back as I give myself this award. Pat, pat, pat, pat! I love strong, confident women that don't take shit from men. That is certainly one definition of the word "sexy" and this woman fits the bill perfectly. If there's ever an example where you don't care that the main hero isn't even on the splash, this is it right here!

Man, posts like this really make one conflicted... Mark Bagley is one of the finest Spidey artists ever... but does he draw better femmes fatales than he even does Spideys...? Very difficult to determine, and your beautiful splash here doesn't quiet the roiling internal dialogue, Paul. It's roiling, Paul! ROILING, you hear me?!? :j Sincerely, though - another fantastic ASM add, sir. Congrats!!

Nice first post for ladies week! Sultry splash, and love the dialogue - "go home, little boys" :) I think I'll stick around. I qualify, right?! I hope so, Delilah :). Congrats, Paul!

I just searched for this particular page to see if it was on this site. I purchased it from Artists Choice way back in the early 2000s and keep it until just a few years ago. Have to say I miss it but happy to see it's in a good home.
