Karate Kid vs. OMAC by James Harren and Simon Gough

I fully believe James Harren could be the next big thing in comics. His art is full of energy and his character designs are fanatstic. I'm so glad that I got a piece from him before he becomes so popular and busy that he doesn't have time for commissions. Everyone should go look at his deviantart page so you can all be blown away. Really, go now, just click on his name. I gave James a list of characters to choose from to fight Karate Kid for his piece and he narrowed it down to Beta Ray Bill and OMAC. I told him to do OMAC but now I keep wondering what his Beta Ray Bill would look like. Anyway, check out the energy in this piece! OMAC looks like a hulking beast and Val looks like a ball of motion. And I LOVE the Kirby energy explosions in the background! Years after this was done, Simon Gough put some colors on this commission and made it look even more awesome! That background is gorgeous and the way he colored the figures works in away that I don't even understand. :)

Would OMAC still be around in the Legion's time? I guess it's a possibility, and now that I think of it, I'd really like to see him show up in a Legion comic. Could Val Armorr take OMAC in a fight? Sure, but it would be tough. Val would have to rely on his speed and skill, and hope that his flight ring could jam Brother Eye's signals, though.

2010?! Whew, definitely ahead of the curve on the Harren front, Travis. He's improved, sure, but was so good from the start. Any question, just take a look at this! Love the sense of horizontal, left/right, movement. Congrats!
