DescriptionJust a cool page by Nick. And one of the reasons why TT 28 is one of my favorite Cardy stories. In the previous page, Lilth has "mind melded" with Sharon Tracy (Donna "Wonder Girl" Troy's roommate). I love the psychedelic blob panels. The colors in the published comic were pretty muted and based on the original black and white, that's probably a good thing. For simpler storytelling, even if our POV changed, Nick always managed to keep Sharon on right side of the page and the bad guys on the left. This page also features one of Nick's favorite tricks. Branches in the 2nd panel extend into the 1st panel although the 2 panels are obviously from different angles. In this example, the branches in the 3rd panel extend into 4th panel. It creates a cohesive look to the page. Note, over the years, this page had received some bad creases and a tear. Not damaged in shipping. But it's a great page and I'm glad to have it. The additional image shows pages 16, 17, 18 and page 1 ordered in continuity. Social/Sharing |

I love this entire sequence. The page before this one is my favorite, but the creative layout, the lighting and effects and the pacing on this page are all superb.
