Stoked to be posting this! I’ve got a nice Lim Silver Surfer (SS) splash (check it out here: https://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1301832) and you’ll see in that description there were a few specific issues of SS I was also hoping to get a page from because I enjoyed them so much as a kid…and this was one of those! So when this popped up on eBay recently I was adamant about nabbing it!

Art-wise, got SS in every panel. Really like the 3rd one with a splashy shot of a miffed Surfer - you can partially tell because one of his eyes has got that erupting energy. Always liked that effect. Also gotta love a contemplative surfer with a space background like in that last panel. The lettering hyping next month's issue is a nice bonus.

To me, this issue had it all when I was younger. It was a great stand alone book and really indicative of what you'd expect with a Surfer story. I won't get into detail but it's a nice example of the "don't judge a book by its cover" adage courtesy of Steve Englehart. Plus the art was killer! But don't take my word for it - check it out!

The quality of work on this series is very high caliber. It was one of my absolute favorite titles that I would routinely save to read last from my books at the local comics shop. Awesome.

No one draws the Surfer like Ron Lim. With his super clean style and special "Surfer" glisteny effects, you get fantastic images of the character, like the ones on this page. Congrats on getting a piece from the issue you wanted!

Totally agree, Paul. Lim's become one of the names synonymous with the character due to the distinct look he made and carried out through his long run. Getting a page from a fave issue from my younger years is always great! Thanks for the comments, fellas!

awesome surfer panel page. I always loved the pages where he is cruising the cosmos lost deep in though with arms crossed behind his back.
