DescriptionJust a fun & silly Jughead cover to round off Quirky Week. What I find comical is that Jughead didn't just come to the circus, see this plane, and decide to hop on. He specifically brought aviator goggles and a scarf. I don't know, kids, he probably brought several rolls of quarters too. What surprises me is that he doesn't have a burger from Pop's Chok'lit Shopped in one hand. Thanks for sharing some chuckles with me this week. See you next time! Social/Sharing |

Hey, I love people who plan ahead! I also love this cover because much like the gag on your Blondie Sunday strip, this image also takes me back to my youth. We didn't have much spare money to go around, so whenever my mom dragged me with her to the shopping mall and I would run to these types of machines and get in them, she would always deny my request for a quarter and instead just tell me to get ready as she rocked the thing back and forth manually for about a minute!. Ah, fun times!

Hahahah! A very frugal mother! I loved how much the Blondie strip hit home for people, and yeah, I think we all have experiences with riding contraptions like planes and horses that were located outside grocery stores. You just don't see those anymore.

Ha, this brings me back! My brother used to wear costumes to ride the quarter rides in front of McSmackys (McDonalds). Man, if I could have taken some Polaroids, I could still be driving him nuts today. Quirky week going strong! Thanks, Paul. Congrats!
