Amazing page, Mark - what a great addition to your collection!
One of the greatest Black Canary stories ever produced !! And one helluva Toth page !! Amazing.
The perfect Toth example! Major congrats - thanks for sharing!
Mmmmmmm thats some Tothy goodness!!! Congrats! What a fantastic page!
Not only a fantastic action page but a great example of Toth. He was incredible. Bravo!
WOW!!! What a perfect Toth example! Congrats!
Simply perfection. I read this story, finally, for the first time last year and it really is great.
Nice action page by Toth! Great lines!
Ah, you got it! Congrats, as good as it gets!
I'm getting my first Toth piece soon! I'm so excited. This is a fantastic piece.
Would it be hyperbole to call this one of the greatest comic book pages of the Bronze Age? I honestly believe it is. I have coveted this page forever... it is so incredible! Beautiful rendering and storytelling, and perfectly evocative of its era. Kudos!
Me likey ... ; )
The job is hers, but the page is yours!
Beauty! Congrats!
Spectacular!
Some things are worth waiting for - this is definitely one of them. Stunning.
Fantastic page! I reached out to Moy and it was already sold. Congratulations! Glad it found a good home!!!
I'm always surprised when this page changes hands. It is one of the most memorable Toth pages ever, a great Black Canary page, and a master class in sequential action and the effective use of lettering/onomatopoeia.
Fantastic. The best thing I have seen on CAF in 2022. Congratulations on a marquis piece.
Superb art & storytelling.
Masterpiece!
Talk about a stunning page! Toth's work on these Black Canary stories are some of the best he did and that's saying something. Such an incredible piece of art and history! It landed in the right spot with you! Huge congrats!
Toth at his absolute best! Congrats on a beautiful and iconic page!
Such a great page! Congrats!
Gorgeous! It doesn't get better than this amazing page!! Congrats!!!
Wow! Great page as only Toth could do it
Bravo Mark, congrats on this exceptional Toth Black Canary page!
Yep - that is an awesome Toth!
EEEEEEEEEEEOOOWWFF!
This is a masterclass in Toth, like the encyclopedia entry on him should have this as the illustration. Five stars and I guess anotherway to put it is: OOOWWOOWUKKKKKK!
This page conveys poetry in motion. Toth was truly a master of the comic book art form.
Wow just gorgeous!
Stunning page in every sense. Fantastic acquisition, Mark!
Maybe the ultimate Toth panel-to-panel page.
A beauty! Is this story the peak of Toth's superhero work?
One of my favorites.
I have to say I miss the old style of comics from masters like Toth. Today's comics are so slick, but simply not as much fun.
Yeoza Wowza< Gorgeous piece. If I'm not mistaken, Terry Austing had a page or two from this job.
INCREDIBLE page!
Alex Toth, mostly known for style guides, character designs and storyboards these days, this page is a masterclass, conducted by one of the very best. Dinah never looked more alluring than she does here, as she so fluidly kicks this thug's punk ass! The lettering is just SO very fun...
Congratulations on owning this graphic piece of storytelling perfection.
I totally forgot to mention how much I loved his striped trousers. The guy was a fashionista!
Love the way Toth illustrated the striped pants too Steven. Helps to show the motion and angles of the legs, as well as emphasising the tear in the pant leg much better than simply using colors would...... There's a lot to see here, but Toth is better than anyone else in not making things too busy, and allowing certain aspects on the page to "pop". Glad you enjoy the art!
Yes, it's that extra little detail of her running her heel down the front of his pant leg before stomping the bridge of his foot. Then, using the tear in the middle sequence to convey the motion as his body swings forward, then as Diana dumps him on his head. That's Toth.
