The angles, the rain, the smoke, the dynamism, just wonderful storytelling!
Stunning page. The jumping scene is terrific, but for my money..the best 2 panels are the last 2. Love the moodiness in the rain. Huge congrats!
A spectacular example of Mazz's storytelling. Congrats!
Beautiful. Every panel drips with style and expertise. Congrats!
Beautiful page by the great Mazzu!
Incredible page! That middle panel is money!
What a great example from Mazzucchelli's DD run! IMO can't beat the ol' multiple-figures-to-convey-movement when it comes to Spidey and DD, then here you got the latter surveying the city in the rain in those last 2 panels?! Perfecto! Congrats, Gene!
Just so so good. Mazz on DD was magic. Congrats!
What a fantastic page! Congrats Gene!
Atmospheric with many fingerprints to create the smoke and danger! You could open a line of credit under his name with them!
Wonderful page!
Top shelf! Simply gorgeous Gene!
That is some sweet inking - and cool composition!
Incredible techniques employed here! Truly a master.
As fantastic as that dynamic fourth panel is, the last panel takes the cake. It looks like you're looking thru a window pane that's dripping from the rain on the other side
Wow! At first look I thought it was Born Again as I think of Mazz's work on DD as being more conformist early on before really evolving into what he would become but here he clearly was ready to blossom much earlier.
Congratulations. Lovely page, especially the last panel. Glad this found a nice home.
Stunning page for lovers of the medium. Congrats!
