Wow! What an amazing cover, congrats.
That is classic '70s Spidey imagery. Cheers!
You'd be hard-pressed to find a better Spidey villain cover. Wow!
Wow, what a group shot!
It's funny how some of the best Spider-Man covers feature him with his back to us.
It's easy to see why you're jazzed over "Jazzy" John Romita!!!
Wow! Incredible layout as Romita encircles Spidey with villains. Really enjoy the mist effects surrounding them all, filling in gaps. Another A+ example!
Killer cover.
Good. Lord. This is spectacular! What a special cover, Bill!
Such a classic cover from a great ASM issue from that period of the run!!! absolutely amazing Romita Sr. cover. congrats Bill !!
Calvin is doing well, collecting wise.
HOLY COW!! That is incredible! Congrats!

You never cease to amaze me with your pick-ups. This is such a beautiful JR Sr cover. A classic.
This is a fantastic cover featuring Spidey's villains! Such a classic feel to it!
First appearance of the Sinister Five?!? ;)
There are a lot of heavy-hitters on this cover. Definitely a memorable cover! Spidey is in for the fight of his life!
Wow great cover Bill! Packed with so much detail! Love it! Congrats!
Magnificent ASM cover, Romita Sr. at his best, so awesome Bill!
Pure Spidey goodness!
Not quite the Sinister Six, but a scene full of favorite villains to choose from. And next to a Ditko, a Romita Sr. ASM cover is about as good as it gets. Congrats on this primo Bronze Age beauty.
WOW , absolutely stunning Romita cover ! Congrats for this great addition .
Obviously Marvel couldn't be killing heroes left and right, but the villains should have been teaming up all the time! Excellent cover!
Very memorable cover, jam packed with spiderman universe goodness! I think this might have been my first back issue asm acquisition. Major congrats, this is a true gem!
Wow! Amazing cover! Major congrats!
I love the character roster and this cover! BIG congrats!!!
What an awesome cover and I rememeber this one as a kid.We could call this the first " Sinister five" appearance, lol.Just a great Romita cover, congrats !
A fan favorite cover with Spidey against classic villains that were running through the title during those years! It is really attractive to the kid in us thinking we were getting this throwdown inside the book and of course we had the solid Romita Sr. artwork look of the time.
Great cover! with Spidey battling multiple villians, not sure what anyone else needs from an ASM cover.
We could say this cover it's a sort of "first appearance" of a new and different Sinister Team. The Sinister Five! Amazing cover superbly drawn and composed by this LEGENDARY ARTIST (in caps). IMHO there isn't any better piece in the hobby than an ASM cover by John Romita. Huge congrats!
Really jam packed with Marvel greatness,.. this is the stuff of legend. A wonderful cover Bill!!
You've gotta be KIDDING me! This is AMAZING!
Such a great cover! Love everything about this cover especially Doc Ock. Congrats Bill
Congratulations of the hearty variety! I'm about the only one who ISN'T on this cover.
Wow! A Romita Sr. Spiderman Cover! Talk about GRAIL!
WoooooooW incredible, i remember this incredible cover spiderman, congratulations my friend, this a GRAIIIIIL !!!
That is a stunner of a cover. What kid could resist shelling out a quarter for this on the spinner rack?
Oh you villains...you know that as soon as the battle begins, you'll start interfering with each other's moves and bickering amongst yourselves with your big egos...But hey, you all look FANTASTIC on this stunning Romita Sr vintage Spidey cover, so we'll forgive the fact that you will lose to our favorite wall crawler...again and always!!! Brilliant cover, Bill!! Wow!!
Man-o-man, this is sweet! Romita. Spidey. All the classic Spidey baddies. Does it get any better?
Another one of my all time favorite Romita Spiderman. What an amazing pick up. Super congrats!
Bill, this is a fantastic cover! Love all the villians envolped in the smoke with Mysterio dominating it. The viewer isn't sure if all the villians are really there are one of Mysterio's illusions to confound and confuse Spidey. Thanks for sharing it and congrats!
Move over Sinister Six, make way for the Fiendish Five!
This is a Spidey fan's dream come true! Thanks for sharing this epic gem!
dang, this is an impressive cover! Romita Spidey cover with five of his major villains, you can't ask for anything better. Awesome cover during the prime Marvel period! Congrats!
An absolutely stunning cover by John Romita! The composition is pure, classic Spidey, surrounded by some of his deadliest foes in a dramatic cloud of Mysterio’s illusions. Romita’s dynamic linework and storytelling are on full display, capturing that perfect mix of action and tension that made his Spider-Man era so iconic.
The restoration work on this piece also deserves some attention. Having seen the cover before restoration really highlights how much care and expertise went into bringing it back to life. The cleaned-up lines, the sharper contrast, and the removal of aging stains make it feel almost as fresh as the day it was drawn. A true testament to both Romita’s genius and the skill of those who preserved this historic piece. What a fantastic example of classic comic art at its finest!
An awesomely evil cover chock full of villains!
What a spectacular cover by Romita Senior! Steve Ditko might be the father of Spider-Man, but John Romita made him into the international icon that he is to this day. The layout of this cover is just spectacular and it looks like Spidey is outmatched. Congratulations on this fine addition to your already legendary Spider-Man collection!
Bam! An incredible piece! A theme of the day as I just posted my oldest Spider-Man piece thus far at 1981. This is hands down amazing! Major Congrats!
My GOODNESS Bill...one of my all time favorite Spidey covers. I love the villians and this cover is EPIC
What an AMAZING cover! Gorgeous! So many great characters! Congrats Bill!
If I didn't like ya so much, I'd be jealous.Spidey's got his hands full with a bevy of battling baddies. John Romita Sr. supremely gifted and one heck of a nice fella. He lived a good life, and left an indelible mark on the world of comics and comic art. Cheers Bill * * * *
Any cover with his villains pilling up on Spidey is great but it's drawn by Romita? Pure gold.
Touchdown !
can't get much better than this... this is GRAIL material <3
That is a fantastic cover. I always loved the Marvel editorial focus on the villian. You had to believe our indestructible heroes were really in danger. And this one is perfect.
Couldn't he have squeezed in a few more villians? Wow....what a cool cover. I was never a huge collector of Spiderman but I remember having a copy of this one in my collection. Huge congrats!
Omg!!!
love it
Love it, Bill! Bronze Age Spidey is the best Spidey!!
Fantastic Cover - WOW !
John Romita is on the Mt Rushmore of greatest comics artists, and his 1970s covers are perfect examples of why. It's too bad that he didn't stick around on interiors, but at least he didn't have to draw the Spider-mobile!
Another excellent addition to your collection, of a well-remembered cover from my childhood.
Everything one could want in a cover. What a great composition. Congrats Bill!
Amazing cover, Bill! Basically everything you could want packed into one cover by the great JRsr.
Somehow Bill, I missed the auction where you sold your left testicle and kidney for this but, it is truly amazing. Wow! Bravo!!!
Not really a Romita fan but it's always cool to see Spidey villains that I remember from that great cartoon !!!
What Amazing Cover Bill ! Mysterio is one of my favourites spidey foes (dont know why😂) and this Romita Cover have all what you want !
Your Cover collection is now , with no doubt , one of the best of the world of not the best !
WOW! Iconic Spidey cover--that's an incredible pick-up. Literally chock-full of baddies.
This cover is wonderful and has it all. Amazing Spider-man cover by Romita Sr, the best artist of the series in its history. With Spider-man and 5 of the most important villains.
A thousand congratulations
Beautiful! How I loved this cover when I bought this off the spinner rack at Walgreens at the age of 12, great memories!
A true beauty! Thanks for sharing this, Bill!
Incredible is an understatement. If anyone had to have this cover, it had to be you. Another piece for your home museum. My sincere congratulations my friend.
Great cover! Has everything you want in an ASM cover. Congrats Bill!
Gorgeous stuff! Congrats!
Wow, absolutely stunning Romita ASM cover, so memorable, so classic, right in that sweet spot of my reading Spidey adventures, huge congrats!!
Oh wow, what a treasure Bill! It never looked more dire for Spidey - congrats!
I have no more words to describe the masterpieces that you continue to show, today it's the turn of one of the greatest artists of Marver the legendary "Romita sr." in one of his most intriguing covers with the most iconic villains ever hunting our poor neighborhood spider XD, you're a great Bill this time too you hit the nail on the head :)
Wait, wait, wait... A more wondrous Romita/Spider-Man cover must there surely not be! Gosh, what a killer!... Huge congrats!
Fantastic cover Bill! And I thought so when I bought it off the rack brand new. I was in seventh grade. Truly a classic!
Not even Batman's Rogues Gallery can equal Spidey's!
I have alwas loved Mysterio and this is a stunning ASM cover. You get the other villains with this, but that classic Spidey pose is where it's at! Excellent composition as well from an ASM master. Congrats Bill!
I have always been a fan of Mysterio, and I love this cover! Congrats Bill!
Max should of really listened to Hal.
What a fantastic cover by a master of his craft! Many congrats, Bill!
Wow, a Romita Spidey cover that features multiple rogues? Congrats on the pickup!
Another museum piece in your most excellent collection. What a cover!!
one of the best covers of the run. congrats!
This Cover is pure magic! Thanks for sharing, Bill!
Sometimes you will see I add an additional comment for a variety of reasons. This morning at 5 am. I am drawn back to greatness. Respect always for the great Jon Romita Sr. For me he's 1A beside 1 Steve Ditko and no doubt he created the version of Spidey that the world has come to recognize. #141 always remembered for that magnificent cover effort. Great Bill ****
A Jazzy John Spidey cover?!?!?!
Bill, your collection is the envy of millions!
WOW! Fantastic Villains cover!
romita was a great designer. its hard to cram that many villians into a layout and make it work. fantastic stuff.
TITANIC pick up, Bill!! Wow - congrats on landing what must -surely- have been the last issue of Amazing Soider-Man...! (Oh, wait... You mean Spidey -could- survive an attack by all of them?!?) We're all in the hands of a master here, as Romita graces another issue of ASM with a classic "must buy" cover, stacking up foe after foe for Spidey to knock down, completely aware that while a group of superheroes working together is always cool, a group of superVILLAINS together is where the magic happens. (This lovely cover also reminds me of the one he did for the first Spidey treasury edition, which reprinted Pete's first tussle with the Sinister Six. GREAT stuff!). Another killer add to your brilliant collection, Bill! CONGRATS!
An absolute masterpiece!!
Amazing!!
The Jackal leaping from the pages of the February 1974 issue of Amazing Spider-Man--#129!
Glad to leave the 99th comment on this AMAZING COVER !!!
Wow that brings so much memories
So Nice So Beautiful and So Full of So Many Great Villains !!!
Always a delight to stop by your gallery !
A truly classic cover! It looks impossible for our hero, and we had to buy the comic to find out if he could survive so many villains! Very much a "Many Foes Has the Spider" story. In another artist's hands, this could have become a clutter, but Romita keeps a strong diagonal axis in the leaning poses to keep the eyes on Spider-Man and Mysterio. Beautifully done!
Excellent cover ... from the good old days when Spider-Man was still fun!!!
Man! One of those ASM covers that's seared into our brains! SO cool seeing the OA here. Congrats, Bill!
