Description
A rare Dueling Dealers pickup for me.

From the Revelations crossover that ended the clone saga (and, temporarily, turned Ben Reilly into a pile of dust). We get two panels of Ringo’s full figure Spidey, some action with Stromm’s slashing gauntlets, and Spidey realizing that Gaunt is Mendel Stromm. I love how the realization panel sets up the three images of Gaunt side-by-side-by-side.

If you have a Ringo Spidey splash or cover from Sensational and you’d ever part with it, please email me! A Ringo Spidey cover from Sensational is a grail for me.

Dynamic style and layouts by Wieringo!  His Spidey brought a lightness and cartoon fun that stood out from the grim and gritty clone era.

I love the multiple phases of Wieringo's work, he came out of the gate amazing but just continued to get better and better - - here we have a more bug-eyed Spider-Man, very unique and fun. Contrast that with the more streamlined, almost svelte Spider-Man he was drawing via daily doodles on his website and in his phenomenal 2007 "Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four." I believe in interviews he said Spidey was his favorite character. Thanks for sharing this beautiful page.
