Description
To celebrate this Valentine's Day, here's a gorgeous Batman & Catwoman page from the classic Hush storyline by Jeph Loeb (writer), Jim Lee (pencils) and Scott Williams (inks)! At this point in DC's ever-revising continuity, their civilian alter-egos Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle were romantically involved and Bruce intentionally revealed his secret identity to Selina in the Hush storyline.

Love the fantastic panel layouts which convey the tension and emotional feel of Loeb's script so well, even without the dialogue. And the images are just fantastic - classic Lee pencils with exceptional inking by Williams; two great artists in their prime and at the top of their game!

You can feel the tension!  Or is that the skin tight leather and spandex?  Probably both.

Gorgous page!

This page is even more striking in person!  And I love how no word balloons are needed to convey depth of emotion.  Artistically and more - an outstanding page! Congratulations Gene!

Love the narrative choice to end with a vertical panel, plus all the acting in the previous panels to highlight the relationship and emotion between Batman and Catwoman.  Congrats!

I am partial to Jim's run on Uncanny, but Hush was just perfect.  Great example from peak Lee!
