What beautiful images. An absolutely fantastic Newton page. Thanks for sharing this tasteful piece of art.
Thanks, Amir! A page like this to me is proof that one doesn't always need to break the bank to get a really great piece of comic art, even in this market. There's just so much to appreciate in a page like this; to me, it's one of the most beautifully-drawn pages in my entire collection.
I can't agree more. It's simply a thoughtful lesson on great taste.
Newton pages on Batman are usually quite amazing because he was a superb artist, but this one is specially good. As you said it is not necessary to spend a lot to get a really good page! It is more a matter of good taste than of money!
Had my eye on this one as well, congrats!
Oh so gorgeous! You just might be as lucky as Batman here ;)
LOL, we should all be so lucky! :-D
This is quite stunning. Terrific combination of these artists.
Incredibly beautiful Batman art. Newton and Alcala were a match made in heaven and it's on full display here. Congrats!
Congrats on the auction win! An exceptional Newton Batman page. They just don't draw them like this anymore.
Newton/Alcala-one of my favorite pairings! Spectacular page!!!
Newton / Alcala was one of the best art teams of its period. And probably the best at DC.
Frank Cho would love this! beautiful lighting going on and the starlight just hightens the mood. congrats!
This is not only drop dead gorgeous, but one of the MOST IMPORTANT pages in the entire story! Congrats!
I'm happy to see I was outbid by a museum quality collector - congrats!
I'm glad you didn't bid me up further because I was prepared to take it to Crazy Town!
Noctuna knows how to set the mood and Alcala shows what he could have done in romance comics! For 1984, it's very steamy!
A perfect page with rich inks! Congrats!
Lovely page. Newton was so underrrated.
