DescriptionOne of the greatest JLA covers of all-time in my opinion featuring the JLA, the JSA and the return of the Quality Comics Super-Heroes, soon-to-become the Freedom Fighters. A gorgeous Nick Cardy cover. Many thanks to Mike Burkey.Cover reprinted in The Quality Companion p.39 (TwoMorrows 2011) by Mike Kooiman and Jim Amash Social/Sharing |

This is a great piece in and of itself but also could be a great springboard for a OML commission and a WW11 Victory Parade !

Sigh…overtly, slobbering, sobbing, blubberingly jealous and envious…one of my first comics. Just thrilled to see it survived the dreaded DC-shredder or basement furnace… THANKD FOR SHARING...!

Never noticed it till now but Black Canary is on the cover when she wasn't on this particular adventure. I'll never forget buying this at K&B in the 70's!

Michael, a tremendous Bronze Age Cardy masterpiece! The Freedom Fighters on the cover make it historic, indeed!

Yes, indeed! I remembering seeing this on Burkey's site for a fleeting moment. My fingers must not have been working because as I look at this cover now I can't believe I didn't move a mountain to buy this one. Congrats, Michael!

Super cool JLA artwork by Nick Cardy! Cardy's 70s covers is among the best of that era!
