Description
The Man of Steel Superman by the great Curt Swan and inked by Al Vey. Al Vey was Curt's inker on the AQUAMAN mini-series that was done in the 1990's -- an example of that work is in this gallery. Curt Swan was certainly one of the first one or two artists to make an impression on me at a young age and such a drawing of his signature character is a lovely keepsake! The pose is very like the central cover pose on the Alan Moore "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?" issue of SUPERMAN #423. This art is on a 14" by 17" comic art board and is signed by both artists and dated 3/6/93. Purchased in November 2012 from Mike Pariso.

Late but very nice full body portrait of the Man od Steel by his best (and for glorious decades) artist ever, also nice inked (although I'd always prefer Murphy Anderson, to be honest)!
