DescriptionNow THAT'S how you make an entrance!! Needless to say, I'm stoke(re)d by this pick-up - this dramatic cover showcases gorgeous artwork by Kane and Palmer, and features the very first appearance of Blade the Vampire Slayer, who would go on to star in three blockbuster feature films and a short-lived television series (which I thought was pretty good, but, apparently, I was one of the few!) Many thanks to Nick Katradis for entrusting this cover to me - I've had a great art year in 2013, and this one has to take the cake!Thrilled to see at SDCC 2019 that two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali has been tapped to play the "Daywalker" in Marvel's reboot of the Blade franchise! This is great. Blade is one of those characters that have transcended the four color comic, and become an industry all its own. So, to have the first Blade is totally awesome!

Kane does fine work as usual, but Palmer's art here is just completely stunning. Beautiful and historic... congrats!

I'm not sure if you've saved the best for last, but this would certainly be a heck of way to capstone the streak you have been on. This is just a stellar addition to an already fantastic gallery.

Great looking cover. Classic Kane design and art but Palmer inks really take this up to a new level. I never appreciated how well Palmer worked with others since so much of what I am familiar with is his stellar work with Gene Colan. Congratulations.

Gene, as the new custodian of this Bronze Age masterpiece, I know that you will enjoy it and cherish it as much as I did for quite some time; I started in this hobby back in 2002, and most of the Bronze Age covers I bought were from a time when I read them off the stand. Ironically, I never read TOD back then but I always appreciated this classic cover in my collection.

I love this Tomb of Dracular cover! I love everything about it. The composition is unexpected, but brilliant. The figurework is great. The way Kane drapes clothing is marvelous. The shadows are crisp and deep. Never mind that this issue's the first Blade. That's just a bonus. It's a fabulous cover, sir. My hat's off to you.
