DescriptionThanks to Doctor Strange and Russian neurosurgeon Dr Tania Belinsky (Red Guardian), Kyle Richmond’s brain is back inside his skull. I recall my angst as a child at reading Luke Cage’s speech balloon in which he said he would have to leave the Defenders, and then my joy in seeing that Nighthawk would pay his fee to remain! I didn’t want this peculiar family of misfits to split up, but sadly Power Man did eventually leave. I’m not sure whether it was Sal’s idea or Klaus’ to make Luke’s collars quite so long – they’re halfway down his shirt. Even for the ‘70s, those are big collars..Social/Sharing |

Yes, those are regulation collars for informal disco power blouses that don't button up in the 70's. It amplified the glam aspect of Luke's swagger! That center panel with Red and Luke is expert work!

Great page from a great comic! I didn’t want the Sal/Klaus art team to split up, but sadly they did eventually leave.
