MICRONAUTS: 'The Lost Voyages' (1998) ISSUE ONE pg 19 SPLASH +Prelim

The script calls this a 5-panel page, and, for the purposes of a script, I suppose it must be. Forgive me for calling this a splash page, myself.

Interesting how they try their best to make canon both the original run of Micros and the New Voyages, as well as the various guest appearances in Cable, Alpha Flight, and their extended guest run in Captain Marvel. Yeah, I guess they would need to be a little... vague.

Note for those following along... Mari's arm had been severed at the bicep a few pages before. While the script doesn't mention it, the writer's breakdowns make it clear she'd had a new arm regrown Body-Banks-style in the interim. You can spot the mechanical bandage on her right arm here.

PAGE NINETEEN 5 panels

Panel 1:

1. MARI: IS THIS WHAT WE FOUGHT SO HARD FOR? TO WATCH IT ALL BE TAKEN FROM US WHILE THE TWO GREATEST TACTICIANS THE MICROVERSE HAS EVER KNOWN BICKER?!

2. MARI: LEST WE FORGET--HOMEWORLD IS MY WORLD. MINE! AND I WILL NOT SEE IT DESTROYED!

3. MARI: HOMEWORLD HAS KNOWN NOTHING BUT DESPAIR EVER SINCE YOU MURDERED RANN'S PARENTS DALLAN AND SEPSIS, KARZA.

Panel 2:

4. CAP (MARI): "FOR A THOUSAND YEARS YOU TYRANNICALLY RULED UPON A STOLEN THRONE. BUT THE MICRONAUTS STOPPED YOU. WE PAID DEARLY, BUT WE STOPPED YOU."

Panel 3:

5. CAP (MARI): "BUT THEN THE ENIGMA FORCE WENT MAD AND WE WERE FORCED TO SACRIFICE OURSELVES TO THE PROMETHEUS PITS TO REMAKE THE MICROVERSE...

Panel 4:

6. CAP (MARI): "...ONLY TO BE REMADE IN TIME TO SEE THE VOID OF YOUR TYRANNY FILLED BY ANOTHER MADMAN. PSYCHO-MAN."

Panel 5:

7. MARI (overlapping onto panel 1): HOMEWORLD HAS SEEN TOO MUCH SUFFERING. NOW IT'S THE K'LAR.
