Incredible page! Bravo!
Holy smokes!!!
Excellent vintage Buscema. As usual, impeccable anatomy and storytelling. Agreed the bottom panels with Doc Strange doing his thing are great!
Wow-= love it and so weird what editors did not catch back 'in the day'
Fantastic page from a historic issue! Congrats!
GREAT PAGE, Paul!!! One of my all-time favorite panel pages!
Great page - and from the first issue of the title - nice!
Paul, an incredible page by my favorite artist of the Bronze Age. And my favorite inker. Sal and Giacoia in 1972 were unparalleled. Lightning in a bottle. An art collaboration never to be replicated. Bravo!
Unbelievable! An actual page from the very first issue. If I were the Hulk, I couldn't be any more green with envy.
Very special page from issue 1. Indeed dramatic technique in last panels with Dr Strange!
As you commented on my page from Defenders 18. Great to spot this!
Such an amazing and classic piece of artwork
What a great page, Paul and I love the story about how you bought it. What a time to collect original art.
Classic page from a classiic issue.
This one is pure Marvel Goodness!!
Hard to see only 13 comments so far...
And man 7 pounds!!!!
Used to go to showcase to buy comicbooks back in these days... Never saw any original art out there.. Wish i did.. Congrats again
Gotta double up commenting on this one- probably my favorite panel page on the entire comicartfans website!
Beautiful art, great storytelling and, wow, it's from the first historic issue! Congrats on this gem!
awesome page and great art by Buscema!
What an amazing page!
Great power page! Congrats!
That was a Christmas morning cardboard box!
The early 80s is when I walked into a comic shop in Akron, OH and bought the Dave Cockrum original art for the cover of Spectacular Spider-Man #7 with that giant Morbius for $35. Great time to buy original art cheap!!
I SO love this page. Can't believe Frank forgot Subby's nose and mouth. To me, that makes it extra special.
Wow! Nice story. Time machine stuff.
Excellent pièce by the masters - congrats my friend !!!
Super(b) intense page. From the number of panels, the portraying of an angry Hulk to the exhaustion of Strange.
Super page!!
Absolute classic - love this depiction of Sal's uncompromisingly bestial Hulk, and such great dialogue to go with the amazing visuals! Marvel Magic doesn't get better!
Such a cool & classic Defenders page, love Sal & Frank here, and that Doc Strange bottom row is pure magic, big congrats! ✨
I'm overdur for another comment on this piece- my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE piece in your amazing collection!!! I love everything about this page- especially that unbelievable Hulk head shot in panel 3 and Sal's dramatic back lighting on the Doctor Strange sequence... SO GOOD!!!!!!
What a great page! First Issue! Hulk smashing and Doctor Strange doing all sorts of mystical stuff. Very cool.
Giacoia makes that Hilk sing!!!
Giacoia makes that Hulk sing!!!
What a treasure. Hits harder with the recent passing of our Pal Sal. Dr. Strange and The Hulk are drawn with passion and determination.
Your collection of Defenders art is outstanding! I'm going to need to return to your gallery later when I have more time to properly look at everything.
HOLY MOLY !!!!! WHAT A GREAT #1 Page ! SUPER SWEET '
I love a Holy Moly! Thanks, Kenneth and Diana!
Very cool page from a #1 in this long running series. Cheers! Great piece of comic history.
