Shakespeare as Superman by Mike Zeck

This was the "cover" of my research paper on Shakespeare in the comics. Mike Zeck had an in-store appearance in Charlotte around the time he was doing Secret Wars. I pitched him the idea that I had and gave him some reference materials and, with a bemused smile on his face, he put pencil to paper with satisfying results. Afterward, my college friend and future pro inker, Tom Poston, put the finishing touch to the piece. Thanks again guys. I think it helped me get the "A." In fact, a few professors really liked my finished product and said, with a little more work, it could have been published but, alas, I never tried. Unfortunately, I think the paper has been lost to time and all the moves I've made over the years, but I still have this and the other sketches I commissioned!
