Moonshadow #2, page 2

This mesmerizing splash from the second Moonshadow issue was probably the one that started it all. As soon as I saw it, I was hooked on Jay's artwork.

I love his use of a predominantly nuetral color palette. A brilliant choice that contributes so much to the mood of the image. Again, amazing depth to the piece, as the layers of headstones seem to diappear back into the night fog. I also love the amount of consideration he gives to the rendering and positioning of his trees on outdoor scenes. Next to Mignola, I don't think anyone else in comics does trees as wonderfully as Jay.
