Hi Larry, I made that comment not as any kind on negative, as I also loved Tom's work on the mag...around the same time Tom did this project he was also doing a number of stories for me and he and I often talked over the phone...he talked about how he was really unhappy with Marvel and this Star-Lord hero he just finished drawing, he rubbished the whole project...(possibly because of the mood he was in?)...over the years I've found a number of artists who have hated some of what I believe to be their best work...I guess there may be more to it than just drawing...possibly "honest love" may play a big roll in how an artist views he's own work and when a job is produced without love, then hate may play a part?

Bloody fantastic...Barry Smith could not draw as good as this...nor Adams, or anyone...it's as close as you get to a perfect comic book page...no rushing, no inkers...just all Kirby.

I believe that Joe was Gil's best inker, this art beats the stuff Gil did for Marvel by miles...great page and you have a great gallery.

Hi...yes well...it clearly is apart of Marvel comics history as are all there pages from the '60's...but...sorry...I think it's weak and not a good example of Romita's art...please don't feel that I'm putting the page down...but I just want to be honest...it's simply a below standard page from the '60's...I mean if I had this page I'd try and unload it for as much as I could get and it's value is just because it was draw in the '60's...other than that it has no real artisic value...sorry but in my opinion it's just the truth...but in saying all that the art may be personally important to you...so it's clearly found the right home...and worth a million...still...thanks for showing it.

You did well mate...I parted with this is "trade"...however for "cash" you must have picked this up cheap...this was also used in movie thearters to promote the S.Starr Sunday strip...great pick up.

I was kicking myself for months when I missed out on this one, but I just didn't have the bucks at the time - later I was able to pick up a nice Tarzan/Manning comic page writen by Royer - however I still miss this one...thanks for listing it.

No...I just don't like this page...it has nothing going for it...well...sure it's got a FANTASTIC Surfer and it's quite perfect...but no...I think I'd be doing you a favour by taking it off your hands...no don't thank me...I'll just sell my house and kids tomorrow and send you the bucks...gee-wizz you are one lucky guy ( ooppps )...thank you for posting.

About twenty years ago I had a great original page from Frank's run on Dr.Strange...it was a really nice published page...but this pencil art blows that away...now as I get older I won't think about that one Frank Brunner original I had once long ago...I'll be thinking about this great pencil drawing...it really is magic...thank you for placing it in your gallery.

Back when I was still a teen buying Amazing Adventures...I really did not like the BW stories...but the art drew me to it...now I know why...the way Gene drew BW reminded me of a "chick" I went out with back then...now decades later I can clearly see this in this extreamly nice original by Gene...it's in the eyes...great stuff for sure.
