2020 ADDITIONAL: Pages marked 'NOW INKED!' have had blueline prints of the original pencils inked by TOM NGUYEN, ANDREW ALLEN (yes, that's me), or (original series inker) DAN GREEN added to them. Pages marked '+Prelim' have had images of Cary Nord's original prelims added.
Further behind-the-scenes info on this series can be found HERE and HERE.
Here they are. In 1998, Marvel attempted to relaunch one of its most storied titles from the 1980's: The Micronauts. 3 issues were in various stages of completion, before rights issues forced the book's cancellation before publication. Micronauts fans were aware of the book as it was being assembled, and were crushed when the cancellation became apparent. Only the lowest of 1998-level low-rez scans had made it out of the Halls of Marvel.
After years of obscurity and questions, all the pages from this ill-fated attempt to bring back the Micronauts have come to light. Each page will be posted with its corresponding script page or story description.
Here we have ISSUE THREE. Clearly, this issue was meant to be a Special Issue of some sort, as the cover is a wraparound cover (!) and the pagecount weighs in at a whopping 37 pages! As the youngest of the three books that were in production, it is the least finished. Only the cover is inked, and some of the penciled pages appear to only be quick breakdowns, still awaiting finishing pencils. (At least all story pages for the book were completed in some form or another before the Kill Order came down!) I've had to enhance the contrast for most of these pages, to make the pencils visible. As with the previous issue, the writing had not progressed further than storytelling breakdowns. Since these breakdowns are freely available elsewhere on the WWWeb, I won't edit them, leaving intact the full communication between Writer and Penciller.
